1 Savior For Me Building Our Spiritual Bodies This is a 6-week course in scripture readings and spiritual thoughts that will exercise your heart and mind and transform your body in the Glory of God. We will not be working out in an exercise room or taking any diet supplements. You will not need to perform any physical exercise in order to successfully complete this course. I do, however, feel it is important to be involved in a regular physical exercise program, but you will need to look elsewhere for that. My course will help you experience the joy of His mercy through daily devotions and coming in contact with others that are on your same wave length. This course will help lead you to purge your system of all ungodly ways. Your success will be built upon your repetitions of daily scripture readings, spiritual thoughts with others, and continued emphasis on following His word after the completion of the course. I have faith in you completing this course because I have faith in God's Word. All who begin the course will feel and look better immediately, not only inside but outside as well. God’s Love will show through your outward appearance everyday of your life. Jesus said, John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." In this verse the word life means light; and His light shines for all to follow everyday. There is no other source of light, in our earthly life, that has this brightness. When we follow Him we will never be lost or want for anything. For He hath promised! Your first opportunity in "Building Our Bodies For Christ" is to begin with memorizing John 14: 6. Share it with people you come in contact with everyday and feel the comfort in sharing His message. When sharing the word of God you will be filled with satisfaction and warming. You will feel cleansed from with in. If you feel like you are being overcome with tears or you are getting a lump in your throat, while talking about Jesus and telling what He means in your life, then the Holy Spirit is working in you and your daily work in His word is empowering you to do all that is good in His name. Share His word as many times as you can each day; breaking your own record from the day before and continue to do it daily. Repetition will be your key to success in "Building Our Bodies For Christ." At the end of one week you will be filled with a new sense of understanding God’s word. You will begin the process of purging your body of all ungodly ways and with out a doubt be blessed. You will come in contact with people that already know Jesus and together you will teach one another. When Jesus sent his twelve disciples and gave them authority to spread His word He knew this would not be an easy task for the twelve. Matthew 10: 28-33 tells us not to be afraid and to acknowledge Him before all men. You will want to keep track of the miracles beginning to happen in your life as a result of spreading the story of God’s Love. Write small my friends, for you are about to be blessed like never before. Once you start talking about God in your life, and truly mean it, people will want to hear more and more and the blessings you will experience will be phenomenal! AMEN! The following information contains new scripture readings and spiritual thoughts
that you will be sharing on a daily basis as your walk with Christ strengthens
while "Building Our Bodies For Christ." Please continue
to scroll down and begin with week one below. WEEK ONE MIND SET Let us begin in our minds and think back when Jesus chose his twelve disciples. Matthew 10: 1-2 He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. First there was Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. The mind set one needs while preparing to follow Jesus Christ is a complete attitude change. You have chosen to follow God so listen to His word that is being taught to you thus far in this exciting course and know that the transformation beginning in your life is His Grace and Mercy at work with-in you daily! Also, as you are walking upon new roads, that God will lead you on, know that He is with you. Do not get discouraged. If you do read the following: 2 Corinthians 12: 9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." This verse is one of my favorites because at the end of the day if people have made me mad or hurt my feelings or even man's best friend won't talk to me, all you have to do is think of this verse and know that God's grace is sufficient. He loves you no matter what. He knows of the goodness in your heart and how hard you are working and He will always be with you. As the weeks go by and the amount of readings increase, so will the number of people you are sharing the word with. Now you are on your way to "Building Our Bodies For Christ." Have a great week! WEEK ONE SCRIPTURE READING MATTHEW 10 SPIRITUAL THOUGHT In reading chapter nine of Matthew, Jesus could already tell, as he preached in the towns and villages, the good news needed to be heard by even more than He Himself could preach to. Matthew 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." Let us go and be the workers. Let us spread the Good News of the Bible. I invite you to read ahead and dive directly into the Word of God. Do not worry, for you will not sink because the Bible is full of uplifting and meaningful substance that is needed in "Building Our Bodies For Christ."
WEEK TWO MIND SET In week one we prepared our selves for being modern day disciples of the good news of The Holy Bible. I am sure, with out asking, that God is working through you each and every day and through each person you have come in contact with. Continue to keep your notes up of the miracles that are happening in your life and continue to thank God daily for the opportunity to spread His word. Jesus loves us unconditionally and it is in the same manner that we spread his word, unconditionally. No matter where we are there is always an opportunity to share his kindness. The cross Jesus carried brought Him to his knees so that we could stand up right and be forgiven for all our sins in this world. Stand proud and be a child of God and shout to the mountaintops what He has done for you and can do for all who will listen and obey. WEEK TWO SCRIPTURE READING PSALM 23 SPIRITUAL THOUGHT I hope Psalm 23 becomes one of your favorites. It has helped me many times in my life to realize that God is all around. There may be valleys to walk through in our lives but by knowing God we will fear no evil. God has prepared the way for us to follow. When we continue to seek him in our daily walk, He will lead us through to the end. God’s Goodness and Love will follow us all the days of our lives. Go and make your promise today to dwell in His house forever and ever. AMEN! Have a great week!
WEEK THREE MIND SET It is the beginning of week three and by now the Lord is surely in your heart and home. You are being blessed and I know you can see Him working in your life. Continue to pray daily and thank God for what He is doing in your life and the lives of the people you come in contact with on a daily basis. Look back over what you have learned and stay in the word. Remember, we are "Building Our Bodies For Christ" and we must continue to exercise our minds in the word each and every day and we will find the next day waiting for us filled with even more strength than the day before. It is kind of like building wealth. Only the wealth we are building is not for an earthly purpose. It is a wealth that will be experienced only in Heaven. Give all you have, in heart and soul, to this course and know that the knowledge you are receiving through your studies is appreciated so much by the people you teach it to daily. Have a great week! WEEK THREE SCRIPTURE READING MATTHEW 6: 19-21 SPIRITUAL THOUGHT This reading is so very true especially during the times we live in today. All the treasures you store for yourself here on earth will not go with you when you die and neither will mine. We need to give our hearts to Jesus Christ and allow Him to work through us and spread His mighty word to everyone we come in contact with. It is through our hearts that our treasures will be measured in heaven. We cannot serve two masters! We cannot serve both God and money. Eternal life is the spiritual thought for this week. Have a great week! Don't forget to read further in the word everyday. You will gain so much knowledge about Jesus.
WEEK FOUR Mind Set We talked last week about building our riches in heaven. I pray you will see the importance of heavenly riches versus those here on earth! And speaking of prayer, we are going to study and read about coming together in prayer with one another and just how God blesses this union. Read Matthew 18: 19-20. Here in the scripture you will see just how Jesus has promised when two or more come together by prayer in His name, there He will be. That is powerful! Just think, coming together with friends in earnest prayer and Jesus being there amongst you. How can one not be excited about this! Call all your friends and come together in prayer today. What kind of prayers you ask? Prayers of Thanksgiving. Prayers for our nation. Prayers for the biggest revival ever to take place and God's will to be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. Prayers of support for our troops and their families. Prayers for our president and his administration. There are many prayers we can offer to the Lord. He is waiting to hear them so He may grant them. Week Four Scripture Reading MATTHEW 18: 19-20 Spiritual Thought We need to be in prayer constantly. Offering up prayers of concern for our loved ones, prayers of thanks for the results of hard work turning out favorably and even prayers for helping us learn through missed opportunities. These are probably the hardest prayers to pray. Praying for God's will in our lives will help strengthen us in His mercy. Pray the following prayer....... Our Dear Gracious Lord, Thank you for all the opportunities this week to seek You and to share Your Word with others. Thank You for the lessons I have learned through the mistakes I've made and I Thank You for loving me unconditionally and so abundantly. Continue to bless me this week as I walk even closer with You and help me be a true testimony in Your word to all I come in contact with. I pray this in Thy Name and for Jesus sake, AMEN! Go and be proud of who you are for God is with you.
WEEK Five Mind Set We are now going to very briefly set our minds upon (the enemy). One that is very real in this world. One that is at work wandering aimlessly through the land everyday. Aimlessly because he has no other purpose than to tear down the wall of Faith we have built thus far in our Bodies for Christ. Stand firm on God's promise and the devil will run from you. Stand firm and be recognized as a member of the greatest army ever - God's Army. Week Five Scripture Reading JAMES 4: 7-8 Spiritual Thought Give yourself completely to God. Stand up against the devil and watch him run from you. Come as close as you can to God and God will come even closer to you. You can not follow the world and God at the same time. Make the correct choice now in your life and you will never walk another day in your life without purpose and meaning. Openly denounce the devil in your life daily. Let him know, without a doubt, he cannot have you, your family members, or your friends. You are a member of God's Army and you are proud of it!
WEEK Six Mind Set Well, we have come to the end of this 6-week course and I hope you have learned all you could about Jesus. He truly is a good friend; one that you can rely on each and everyday. My most favorite poem is "Foot Prints in the Sand." Please link to it and experience the warmth that will surely come over you as you feel the Holy Spirit working in this message. Week Six Scripture Reading The Bible - Read your Bible daily and share the Good News Spiritual Thought Isn't it great to know that Jesus will carry us through all our trials and tribulations? Isn't it great to know that God's grace is sufficient? Isn't it great to know that satan can never hurt us when we resist him in Jesus' name? Isn't it great to know that we can come together in prayer and have that prayer answered? Isn't it great to know your Heavenly Father's Son? Isn't it great just to know that Our Lord and Savior is in charge? Please think about all of these questions I have put before you and continue to share God's word with everyone you come in contact with. Your body will be strengthened like never before and you will experience a peace in your life. Not a peace that the world can give you, but "The Peace of Jesus." Read John 14: 27
