1 Savior For Me Praising God Through His Poetry
My Pledge What If You’re Wrong and I Am Right A Child's Prayer (Jesus....Please Come) God Is Everywhere; He Is The Way, And The Truth, And The Life Man of God My Special Little Special
My Pledge I
pledge Allegiance to the Lord, The
maker of Heaven and Earth. What
would be my worth. I
was born a sinner but have been set free, Because
He died upon that tree. No
longer fearing the ragging tide. The
Master has given me a brave new start, My
Master has given me a brand new heart. No
more will I worry about my worth, For I
pledge my Allegiance To
the maker of Heaven and Earth. Copyright©
2009 Richard Allen Garrison What
If You’re Wrong and I Am Right
What
if your wrong and I am right
About a place that has no night. What if tomorrows would have no sorrow? What if your wrong and I am right?
Their eyes reflect the daily pain; they need a brand new story. The eyes I gaze in everyday, long for a new beginning You can’t mistake their desire, for a life that is fulfilling.
I’d tell the eyes and faces, not to end their fight.
It’s everywhere you look. The only way to win the fight Is written in a book.
It tells a story needing to be heard, by each and every soul.
It’s one I hope you’ll take to heart; it will make your life brand new. The world on which we’re riding is coming to an end, So don’t forget the promise, again we’ll live with Him!
This time your heart knows what to do, so please just dive on in. Go deep into the Savior’s love, and relish in His Being, This is the life you’re longing for; it’s the one you have been seeking. For He is coming soon my friend, it’s the Revelation Story. The streets we’ll walk are paved with gold, what a day t’will be in Glory. And about that place that has no night, what if you’re wrong and I am right. Copyright © 2006 Richard Allen Garrison If you’re weak and tired and need a break, Come to Christ and feel the blessings flow. If you’re out with a crowd and still feel alone, Come to Christ and feel the blessings flow. If you’ve done all you can and still feel empty, Come to Christ and feel the blessings flow. When you’re down and out and need a friend, Come to Christ and feel the blessings flow. He can break the ropes that bind you, He can tear down the walls that blind you from seeing the many blessings that will flow freely when you step outside the haze. Right now it can be settled and you can know His peace, for by His wounds you are healed. Come to the foot of the cross and confess that you’re a sinner. Come to Christ and feel the blessings flow! Know Where You Want Me
Where will you put me Lord, where will I go.My heart wants to serve you, and continue to grow.
I cry for the others who turn from your Son.
Some people’s lives are void of direction, and some people’s lives are full of rejection. It’s only in You we learn of your Glory, It’s only in You we learn the true story.
I’m sorry for treating your Grace carelessly, I’m sorry for living my life so carefree. There’s only one choice to make in this life, there’s only one way to end all this strife. The struggles and quarrels I speak of today, are weighing me down Lord, take them away.
I’m ready to serve you and continue to grow. Copyright © 2006 Richard Allen Garrison Shout to the Lord, "I'm hooked on Jesus, nothing is greater than He". The open arms of His embrace is where I long to be. He calms my fears, dries my tears and provides a new release, He loves me unconditionally and His love has set me free. I'm hooked on Jesus like the Apostles, once they heard Him speak, I'm ready to tell His story, no more silence will I keep. In our ever-changing world, we need to hear His story, So share it with a friend today, God gives you His authority. Shout if from the mountaintops, and never be ashamed, For everything we have done wrong, He accepted all the blame. So when you hear of God's great love, do not act surprised, Get ready and prepare yourself, for the banquet in the sky. Copyright © 2003 Richard Allen Garrison
Lost in a world where there's no one to find me, Lost in the ways of the world. Lost in a world where I can't put behind me, All the ways of the world. Then one day You came to me, Your presence I can't deny. You left Your mark upon my heart, On eagle's wings I'll fly. You saved me from my days of uneasy, You saved me from myself. You saved me from the ways of the world, Lord, You saved me from my Hell! Now that many years have past, With Your help I've taken control. The lessons I have learned thus far, Are lessons for my soul. You're always welcome in my heart, And this I know is true, For how would I know where to go, Unless I'm found in You! A Child's Prayer (Jesus…Please come) Please
come Dear Jesus, oh please come, and take us kids away. Please
come and make the hurt stop that we feel day after day. I
know you are a loving God, and one that’s pleased by us, Please
come and take our hurt away, please come and rescue us. I am only just a child, never asking much each day, Only
wanting to be held and loved and cuddled in everyway. Oh,
for a chance in this big world to be recognized in goodness, But
every time I turn around, I’m asking for forgiveness. All
I wanted from today was to play out in the yard, But
when Mommy came home and saw me, she hit me really hard. I
guess I must have made her mad, it seems I do that best, I
guess I must have made her mad, as she screamed “Your just like all the
rest.” There
are many of us little ones, that don’t know how to act, I
guess we don’t know what to do, please Lord take us back. I
know you are a loving God, and one that’s pleased by us, Please
come and take our hurt away, please come and rescue us. Copyright © 2005 Richard Allen Garrison God is Everywhere; He is The Way, The Truth, and The LifeHe's the street I travel daily, He's how I do my job, He's the way I act toward others, hoping all will see His love. His word is sharp and powerful, though a true and comforting sound. It’s one to build your riches on; it’s one where truth is found. He gave His life in utter shame, full of pain and agony, The pain He felt there on that tree was felt for you and me. I pray this day will end all days of suffering and strife, And you will know God is everywhere; He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! Copyright© 2003 Richard Allen Garrison He did it all for you and meMy heart aches when I cry Over how my Savior died That day on Calvary The day that set me free. As the sign was placed above his head, "THIS IS JESUS, KING OF THE JEWS" My Lord and Savior cried out, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do". The earth shook and the rocks split, As the temple curtain tore What feeling the mockers must have had While holding pieces of the garment He wore. The ninth hour came and darkness fell all around the land Then the spirit of my Jesus, was committed to his Father’s Hands. This was a day of sacrifice, The greatest ever known But on the third day He arose, Now He sits on His Heavenly Throne. So when you feel Him tugging, Yes, the one from Galilee, Remember what he sacrificed, He Did It All For You And Me! Copyright© 2003 Richard Allen Garrison (Reference to the ninth hour found Luke 23:44-46 NIV) When I think of Jesus I become breathless Consumed in His Love and Grace Longing to be in His promised place There is no other feeling that can compare When Jesus makes me breathless. I have walked alone through life so many a day And felt that my worth was all self made. My burdens were plenty, my days oh so long And my thoughts of a future were all dead and gone. Then one day He appeared to me, The sound of His name, oh sweet harmony Rebellious at first and yes, I felt worthless But His Divine Love filled me with purpose. I will never return to those days of uneasy For the Lord God Almighty is forever with me My thoughts of the future are now a new story For I know of his promise, "A Home In Glory". Copyright© 2003 Richard Allen Garrison As I watched you in church on Sunday, I could see a great Christian Man before me. Your faith in Our Lord and Savior is the key to your everyday strength and behavior! You became a man long before I gave you credit, And you will become an even greater man as your walk with God strengthens. Should life’s road become long and intolerable, and you feel like there’s just no tomorrow, Always remember – Your faith in Our Lord and Savior gives you the power to do all things, which are good in His name! Oh my son, God’s Love in your heart must never go astray, For His Love will lead you day after day! I am so very proud of you and have always been since the day you were born, and you can always be proud of who you are, For you are a Man of God! You Are The Greatest! Love Dad Copyright© 2002 Richard Allen Garrison My Walk Through LifeI thought that I knew everything there was to know in life I thought that I could handle all my pain and strife So many roads I walked along were made of clay or stone And every time I walked them, I was constantly alone. Oh Jesus, I am on my knees, and wanting a new start Open up my eyes this day, Lord come in to my heart. I have heard you knocking many times, only to ignore But not this time My Master, I’m opening my door. Thank You Lord for giving me another chance in life Thank You Lord for handling all my pain and strife. Now the roads I walk upon are easy to withstand For I know my Lord and Savior, is with me hand in hand! Copyright © 2003 Richard Allen Garrison You were born on a Wednesday, as was I, Thirty-four years after came your cry. A cry of beginning and a new welcomed life A beautiful daughter with baby blue eyes. You were fragile and tiny, yet journeyed so long, Proving that "little ones" are so very strong. I held you in wonder, of how this could be, Such a beautiful daughter given to me. Our time passed so quickly, and now you are grown, A beautiful young woman with plans all her own. You are made of compassion, strength and serenity, These are God’s Blessings, they are your identity. Always remember, how proud you have made me, I’m your Daddy forever, My Dear Sweet Amy. You Are My "Special Little Special" Copyright © 2003 Richard Allen Garrison TransformedJesus Christ is in my life Jesus is the way, He has taken all my pain and made it yesterday. Every morning when I awake, no more pain and sorrow, Every morning when I awake, I’m looking for tomorrow. I have been washed in His blood, cleansed from with in. No more walking on the edge, no more dabbling in my sin. Jesus is my daily strength; He’s all I’ll ever need. Lord help me in my garden, help me plant Your seed. I have so much love with in me, since Your sweet caress, Help me sow to others all Your happiness. I am bursting with desire to serve You everyday, Please let me be a leader along life’s narrow way. May everyone who reads these words relish in pure delight, For Christ has gone before you, so you may see His light. Copyright© 2003 Richard Allen Garrison Simply Try JesusMany lives are made up of so much pain and sorrow, Our Lord Jehovah promises a brand new tomorrow. It’s easy to have, so the Bible tells us, All we need do is simply try Jesus. Yes, the Bible is where we find the true story, It tells of a new home, the one set in Glory. The blind will see, the deaf will hear, and the dead will live again. So listen for the Master’s call, He’s calling to be your friend. And if you’ve searched and found your life, to be an empty promise, Today is the day you need to act; all you need do is simply try Jesus. Copyright© 2003 Richard Allen Garrison When Glory Came To TownI was sitting all alone one day when Glory came to town It kind of came in soft and sweet, almost without a sound. It spread like wild fire, but took no one by surprise For they knew that it was coming, from teachings in days gone by. Yes, some rebelled and some refused to accept it’s sweet caress, But those of us who did that day, received the Love of Jesus. It is my prayer that you will know when Glory comes to town It may come to you soft and sweet, so listen for it’s sound. Copyright© 2003 Richard Allen Garrison
